Al Brown - President and Chief Executive Officer

With over 20 years of experience managing high-growth wireless and network integration services businesses ranging from start-ups to Wall Street, Al brings exceptional business acumen and an exemplary track record of leading businesses through remarkable growth.

Prior to SmartWave, Al served as Vice President of the Enterprise and Municipal wireless practice at WFI. He lead the division into many of the "first" in the emerging Municipal Wireless market, including the "first" Public-Private partnership in Madison, the "first" Quadruple play in Tucson, and the "first" Muni-WiFi network to support Parking Meters. Other Professional experiences include management, sales, operations and engineering capacities for IBM, EDS, NetVersant and First Consulting Group.

Phil Slaughter - Chief Operating Officer

As the COO of SmartWave Technologies, Phil leads the operational efforts in the delivery of engineering, installation and commissioning of modern wireless networks.

Prior to SmartWave, Phil lead the technical, support and installation services for EduTek since inception in 1991, and served as President and CEO until the merger with SmartWave Technologies. Certified as a CCNA, CCDA, MCSE, and CWNP – Phil is responsible for overall system design and program management for WiFi and WiMax systems. In leading EduTek, Phil managed the network deployment for the Miami Dade public school system wireless network and several other wireless projects to include the University of South Florida, Florida State University, Gwinnett County Georgia, Charter Communications and McKee Foods. As a seasoned professional, his extensive experience includes hands on with Cisco, Motorola, Meru Networks, Ceragon, Proxim, Alvarion, and numerous other products.
